Vancouver Food Machinery (VFM) supplies food manufacturing machinery and equipment to businesses throughout Canada. Their speciality is food forming machinery and they are the exclusive distributor in Canada for Deighton Manufacturing.
The website Brief
The VFM website had to communicate both the full range of products available in different categories in addition to specific food production industries. Potential customers visiting the website could then self qualify the business an send an enquiry about specific products.
The Website
The first problem we encountered was registering the domain, to be able to purchase a .ca domain you have to be a business registered in Canada, as VFM as it wasn’t a problem but took a little longer than usual to provide the Canadian domain registrar (CIRA) with the appropriate documentation to be able to register the domain and get everything working.
Using our tried and tested WordPress theme offered VFM a cost-effective solution for a new professional website. We customised the theme using the corporate colours from their logo as a style guide and stock imagery of finished products. The website works across desktop, tablet and mobile and displays the products in categories. We developed a series of landing pages to appeal to different food manufacturing sectors, displaying end products to make the pages visually attractive.
