Our opinion

At this time, Shopify is a very sleek, safe and reliable ecommerce platform but where Shopify will be in a few years is the opportunity for ambitious and growing ecommerce retailers.

The technology available for ecommerce is expanding and what you can do now with your site is through plugins and extensions including:

  • Remarketing – advertise to customers who have visited your website on other sites.
  • Abandon carts technology – when a customer adds products to their baskets but doesn’t make a purchase – you can follow up with emails or allow customer to recover the abandoned cart
  • Using Google and Facebook to create customer accounts as a login
  • Facebook Pixel – this collects data from your website that helps you track conversions and remarketing on Facebook. The Pixel can also help you create lookalike audiences making it easier to find potential new customers.
