Ferry.uk acquired a premium domain to become the definitive front door for UK ferry travel. The challenge: earn trust instantly in a space owned by established big players without years of brand recognition behind you.
The Challenge
The existing ferry content lived under GBQuotes.com. Ferry.uk needed a visual identity that felt authoritative and legitimate on first impression, capable of converting visitors who had never heard of the brand. In a market dominated by corporate navy-and-white, looking credible without looking generic was the core design problem.
Our Approach
We leaned into the domain as the brand’s greatest asset. The “.uk” suffix isn’t a footnote; it’s a trust signal, baked into the logo lockup itself. We chose a maritime palette anchored in deep navy, then broke convention with a magenta accent that makes every digital touchpoint. The result is a brand that feels established from day one.
