Link is a professional network for members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies who work in the insurance sector. Its committee selected Get Fletch to develop its new website. Link’s mission is to make the insurance industry the employer of choice for the LGBTQ+ community. Link wanted an improved website and up-to-date branding that could help deliver on that mission.
Brand Evolution
Upon appointment, the Get Fletch design team got to work developing the new branding and logo. The branding project required us to evolve the organisation’s existing logo, bringing it up-to-date. The new logo was signed off at first sight!
The website Brief
The new website had to appeal to both LGBTQ+ insurance professionals looking to join LINK, and the C-level executives within the insurance industry who contributed to the success of LINK. Eventbrite is the event planning and management tool of choice in the industry, and no one wants to add information twice to both an event website and their own website.
The Website
We designed the website in line with the new brand guidelines to correspond with the brand evolution. Importing the old website from SquareSpace to WordPress on our tried, tested and highly effective WordPress theme meant that no pages were lost.
We installed an Eventbrite plugin that communicated with Link’s Eventbrite account and displayed upcoming and previous events on the website. This means that events only have to be added once and Eventbrite handles all the event communications and manages attendees.
The team pages were also an important part of the site, displaying all the committee members with links to their LinkedIn profiles.
